Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of shadeupai ("the service"). By uploading a photo or otherwise using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

The service

shadeupai applies a makeup look you choose to a photo of your face using AI image generation, so you can see what it would look like before applying any real makeup. The first 3 tries are free with no signup required; shadeupai Pro is a paid subscription that raises your monthly limit and removes the result watermark.

Your photos and content

• You keep ownership of any photo you upload.
• By uploading a photo, you give us a limited license to process, store, and display it back to you for the purpose of generating and showing you your try-on result.
• You confirm that any photo you upload is either of yourself, or of someone else who has given you permission to use their photo this way. Don't upload photos of other people without their consent.
• You must be old enough, under the laws where you live, to agree to these terms on your own.
• Don't upload photos of children.

Acceptable use

Don't use shadeupai to:

• Upload photos you don't have the right to use, or of anyone who hasn't consented.
• Generate or share results intended to harass, deceive, or impersonate someone.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service (including circumventing free-try limits through automated means).
• Use the service for anything illegal.

We can suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms.

AI-generated results

Results are generated by AI and are an approximation of how a look might appear on you — not a guarantee of how any specific real-world makeup product will look once actually applied. Colors, skin tone, and finish can vary between the AI render and reality, including because of screen calibration, lighting, and the specific product you end up using.

Pro subscriptions and billing

• Pro is billed monthly or annually, in advance, through Stripe.
• Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time; you'll keep Pro access through the end of the period you already paid for.
• Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice for future billing periods.

Our content

The shadeupai name, branding, preset look library, and site design belong to us. You can use your own generated results however you like (share them, save them), but you don't get any other rights to our branding or the underlying product.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific result will be generated successfully every time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, shadeupai isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or $0 if you were a free user).

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
